Nissan Mexicana announced the integration of Aeolian power to the manufacturing process in their Aguascalientes Plant, to reach 50% of the electric power required in their production process.
In a press release, Nissan informed that their Aguascalientes Plant is integrating this year renewable sources and, in addition to biogas (generated through by treating garbage), they will now use power generated from wind (Aeolian power).
Aguascalientes Plant is therefore becoming the main plant in the use of renewable power sources in the Renault-Nissan Alliance, which adds to 58 plants throughout the world.
Thanks to this, March, Versa, Sentra (an soon Note) models are now produced in Aguascalientes in a “greener” more sustainable way, through the local implementation of the environment-minded Nissan Green Program 2016.
