Mexico Receives US$995 Million From Chilean Investment

A report from the International Economic Relations Directorate, Direccion General de Relaciones Economicas Internacionales (Direcon), published last Tuesday, states that Colombia received the largest amount from Chile’s investment, namely US$14.218 billion in the above-mentioned term.

Colombia was followed by Peru, which received 14% of total Chilean capitals invested abroad, equal to US$11.637 billion.

The report, disclosed in the Economy and Business section of Emol webpage, says that only in 2012 Peru received direct investments from Chile amounting to US$477 million, 8.1% of total direct Chilean investment in the PA last year.

Mexico has received investments from Chile amounting to US$955 million since 1990, according to the International Economic Relations Directorate from the Chilean Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
