Jalisco Receives Investment From U.S. Companies

According to the American Chamber of Commerce in Mexico (Amcham), the U.S. companies will invest in Jalisco around US$650 million this year, and a similar or greater amount is estimated by 2016.

According to the American Chamber of Commerce in Mexico (Amcham), the U.S. companies will invest in Jalisco around US$650 million this year, and a similar or greater amount is estimated by 2016.

Jose Miguel Zozayacorrea Kuri, President of Amcham, highlighted the case of companies such as Oracle, which will invest US$85 million and create 1,500 jobs in a first stage.

In a second phase, within the next three or four years, it will increase up to more than 4,000 jobs.

Other technology companies such as Flextronics, Intel, Jabil and HP has also made significant investments, in addition to some farming companies.

Mr. Zozayacorrea Kuri also ensures that 2016 will be a good year for the investment of the U.S. companies in Mexico.
