With the purpose of strengthening bilateral exchange and economic cooperation, the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology for the State of Jalisco, Mexico, and the Baden-Württemberg International
Agency for International Economic and Scientific Cooperation (Germany) signed last Friday a letter of intent. The goal is also supporting the development of technology-based companies, especially those in the automotive and aerospace fields.

Both governments are committed to support alliances between the institutions at their respective states, leading to exchange based on the value of knowledge about sustainable economic development, business-oriented (dual) education, as well as research and innovation strategies.

Ingo Rust, State Secretary in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs, pointed-out that in addition to Jalisco’s geographical location, another reason why German companies are deciding to invest at the State is its research projects.

“We have observed that the government here acknowledges the importance of developing the three requirements demanded by German companies, namely research and design, as well as dual education, aspects which the Jalisco Government has taken into consideration”, he said.
