Businessmen from Tijuana held a meeting with California legislators in order to set a joint agenda on investments, such as attracting capitals from China.

The meeting took place at the premises of Tijuana’s Economic and Industrial Development Bureau (DEITAC), the organization responsible for economic promotion, and it was attended by Luis Correa, Senator representing Santa Ana City; Rocky Chavez and Travis Allen, members of Oceanside and Huntington City Councils, respectively and the former Senator Denise Ducheny.

The purpose was discussing subjects where BC shares interest with California, such as attracting investments from China, since California and Baja California region has a great potential on costs and logistics competitiveness.

The legislators expressed the need to join efforts to improve trade, social and political relations between Mexico and the USA, since, as put by Senator Luis Correa, Mexico is the main trade partner for its northern neighbor and should be the first choice when looking for niches of opportunity.
