Taiwanese businessmen consider that the Mexican market offers growth potential for their companies, through the development of innovating or technology-related products, which are well accepted by the population and attract investments to Mexico.

Taiwanese businessmen consider that the Mexican market offers growth potential for their companies, through the development of innovating or technology-related products, which are well accepted by the population and attract investments to Mexico.

According to data provided by ProMexico, the Taiwanese companies established in Mexico invested US$505.5 million between 1999 and 2012, of which 71% belonged to the manufacturing sector and 28% to the commercial sector.

This year, the capital injected in the first half of 2013 amounted to US$88.8 million, reaching 268 companies of Taiwanese origin.

The Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) mentioned among their main players companies such as Acer, Avision, D-Link, Genius, HTC, Hon Hai Precision, Enermax, Gigabyte, Orange Electronic, Kinpo, LOF Solar, Tern, Sapido and Transcend, among others.
