ProMexico fosters maquila supplies

ProMexico facilitated business for US$300 million in Mexico between Mexican suppliers of export manufacturing industries and 50 multinational companies, Eduardo Villa, Head of ProMexico’s Office in the State of Chihuahua, informed.

ProMexico facilitated business for US$300 million in Mexico between Mexican suppliers of export manufacturing industries and 50 multinational companies, Eduardo Villa, Head of ProMexico’s Office in the State of Chihuahua, informed.

Through the strategy “Alliance with Transnational Companies Model”, 280 supplying companies were pre-selected for having the potential to make business in the short and medium term. In addition 38 business encounters were held, generating around 600 purchase interviews.

He pointed-out that through strategic alliances between domestic and international suppliers and 50 multinational companies, ProMexico wants to trigger a series of encounters between companies and suppliers to support export manufacturing sector.

Eduardo Villa informed that in order to face suppliers development challenge, 55 business lines were created in the Aerospace, Automotive, Electric and Metal-mechanics sectors.

ProMexico has broad experience on productive linking of multinational companies and domestic suppliers and currently has a directory including 1,250 companies throughout Mexico.

Among the companies in the Suppliers Directory there are 212 in smelting area; the directory’s crimping area includes 73 companies; the assembly area has 192 companies; there are 21 companies available for treatment and in aluminum injection there are 23 companies.
