The Federal Government and the Entrepreneurs Coordinating Council (Consejo Coordinador Empresarial (CCE)) will enter an Alliance to increase productivity and growth in Mexico.

The document will be signed next month and considers working under a dialogue and agreements scheme on the proposals included in the Pact for Mexico and the laws arising from it, in the understanding that there will be no unilateral measures that could mean a disadvantage for the production sector. Ildefonso Guajardo, Minister of the Economy, confirmed that it will be a scheme where President Enrique Peña will express his commitment to dialogue with production sectors in Mexico. He added: “I see significant agreement with the private sector, on the fundamental purpose of making Mexico grow and grow with greater productivity, in a sustained and vigorous way”. “The energy reform is the most important for us because it provides Mexico’s economy with greater potential, which may lead to record investment, translating into growth and better jobs”, said Gerardo Gutierrez Candiani, Chairman of CCE. “We are willing –Mr. Gutierrez Candiani said– there is enough money, there is enough credit and there will be interest from foreign capitals to invest”. “The Fiscal Reform will have three main purposes: First, strengthening Mexico’s financial capacity so that the state may meet its obligations in all three levels. Second, provide Mexican economy and Mexican companies with greater competitiveness. And third, have a fairer fiscal system”, the Minister of the Treasury pointed-out.
