New industrial parks for Puebla

The State of Puebla will have two new industrial parks, in addition to the current 15, the State Ministry of Competitiveness, Labor and Economic Development, Secretaria de Competitividad, Trabajo y Desarrollo Economico (Secotrade), informed.

One of those industrial parks will be located in San Jose Chiapa, where an Audi plant is being built; its surface will be 90 hectares. The other one will be located in Amozoc and will cover 40 hectares. 

Antonio Gali Lopez, head of Secotrade, would not disclose the cost of these factories zones, but he did explain that they will host companies from several sectors, such as textile, automotive agroindustry and renewable energies.

He pointed-out that as far as San Jose Chiapa is concerned, it is not the park being built by Audi, where 20 auto parts manufacturers will establish; the cost of these facilities will be US$42.2 million.
