Representatives of a Japanese maquiladora based in Coahuila are currently conducting feasibility studies in the States of Chihuahua and Sonora, to install a harnesses manufacturing plant to serve clients such as Honda, Nissan and others.

Executives of the firm arrived recently to the municipality of Cuauhtemoc in Chihuahua, where they visited the Cuauhtemoc Industrial Park and the Manitoba Commercial Corridor, as those are possible options to install the building for the maquiladora's operation.

The executives were utterly surprised at the advantages that this region has regarding safety and communication.

The geographical location of the city and its existing communication channels to the rest of the State, meet the requirements of the Japanese company, mainly access to the U.S. border region.

If the investment is materialized, 300 direct employments will be created.
