With US$7 million invested in the last 6 months, Honda is expanding their CR-V vehicles plant at El Salto, Jalisco.

During the celebration of the company’s 25th anniversary in Mexico, David Gomez, Director of the assembly plant, said that this economic injection was made in order to expand the assembly and quality control area by 3,600 square meters (38,750 sq. ft.).

“With these modifications we will achieve better use of natural lighting and therefore larger energy savings, which will be increased as spaces created in assembly line go from 29 to 37 work stations”, Mr. Gomez said.

Mr. Gomez also informed that new door-assembly lines were installed, to facilitate the company’s daily operations, in addition to better vehicles flow in the inspection area to increase quality and stay as number one in the market.

Governor Aristoteles Sandoval Diaz invited Honda’s executives and businessmen in general to continue investing in Jalisco, and further spoke about the infrastructure they are raising and the bills they are drafting to offer greater safety and labor certainty to the State’s main strength: its workers.
