With the purpose of generating jobs in manufacturing industry, Guadalupe City Council entered an alliance with businessmen from industrial parks to constitute the Economic Development Council, which has already led to the establishment of five new companies and a 150-hectare infrastructure megaproject to install several businesses.

Epigmenio Garza Villarreal, Minister of Economic Development for Guadalupe Municipality, said that this alliance involves owners of industrial parks and businessmen, as well as chambers, such as Nuevo Leon’s Chamber of Processing Industry (Caintra) and the Chamber of Restaurants and Seasoned Food Industry (Canirac).

"The purpose of this Council is having the Municipality participate with the incentives required and providing for manufacturing needs for the development of new projects”, he said.

The members of the Council include FINSA, Kalos and Nexxus industrial parks, and other nationally and even internationally renowned entities.

“We have already approached land owners and there are 150 hectares available”, he explained.
