Audi will invest US$130 million within four years to continue with the development of new products and technologies as part of their Strategy 2020 project.

This plan includes the construction of a new complex that Audi will have in Mexico, at San Jose Chiapa, Puebla, expected to start producing in 2016.

Last September, Audi’s Board of Directors and Volkswagen Group management decided locating Audi’s plant in Mexico in San Jose Chiapa, Puebla, where as of 2016 they will manufacture the new generation of Q5.

US$1.3 billion will be invested in the site, located around 70 kilometers from Volkswagen Puebla Plant to produce 150,000 units of Audi SUV every year.
