Asian companies confirm investment in BC

Asian companies have confirmed an investment for US$218.5 million at the State of Baja California, which will contribute to the generation of more and better jobs, Governor Francisco Vega informed in a press conference, where he presented an itemized report of the results of the promotion tour he made through four countries in Asia, which purpose was repositioning Baja California as a strategic pole for development and investments.

Francisco Vega mentioned that in Korea, Hyundai presented him an expansion project for US$50 million in Baja California. Also, Samsung explained the progress made on their US$100 million investment project, where they have already invested US$10 million and hired 200 people.

When he met with executives from Samjin (known in Baja California as Platech), a company supplier for the automotive and aerospace industries, he was informed about an expansion project for US$1 million, in addition to the construction of a new industrial building.
