Anyone tasked with hiring and recruiting leadership talent is most likely familiar with the axiom “The best predictor of future behavior is past behavior.   This came to mind recently during a routine catch-up call with Director of Client Services for SAIC – George Walther Meade.

I had the pleasure of placing George more than a decade ago in a challenging supply chain management role with cross-border responsibility and he was as successful then as he is today.   Placing people with exceptional talent and experience are just one of the many rewarding aspects of our work.  Another is learning about their successes and George’s award and the video produced by SAIC also provide us with a measure of pride and satisfaction in the work we do.

Many of our clients are multinational organizations with operations throughout Latin America and the world and George’s career profile is a great example of the experience and talent we strive to find for them.  George has dual citizenship in both the US and Mexico, is completely fluent in both English and Spanish and he established a solid educational foundation prior to launching his career.

More than a decade ago he was leading the supply chain role for a manufacturing operation in Mexico, interfacing with suppliers in Asia and North America and navigating the complexities of global logistics and trade compliance.  Today his responsibilities take him to countries all over the world from Iraq, Afghanistan and to Mexico to support the technology needed to ensure national security.

After reading the press release and viewing the SAIC video, I was particularly proud for George of a comment that sums up what I believe is a key contributing factor of his continued success.

“George has great grace under pressure.  He’s continually under stress, but he’s capable of thinking lucidly and executing.  That’s a unique skill.”

– Alex Preston General Manager SAIC’s Security and Transportation Technology Business Unit

We wish George continued success and may his success serve to inspire others to greater achievement as well.
